The minimum qualification to appear the exam is must have passed the +2 exam with mathematics, chemistry and physics or must be appearing for the +2 exams. The examination can be written for three consecutive years from the year of passing 12th standard.
The exam will be conducted for 300 marks. The major subjects are Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry. From each subject 30 questions will be asked. Equal marks will be allotted to all the three subjects. The first 20 questions will be MCQ type questions in which four options will be given from which the correct option has to be chosen. The last 10 questions will be fill up in which 5 are compulsory to attend, with numerical value where the student must write exactly the correct answer. Totally 75 must be answered out of the total 90 questions.
Paper II mostly consist of questions from Mathematics, Aptitude & Drawing. Duration of the test will be 3 hrs whereas for the PWD students will be getting one hour extra i.e., 4hrs. The exam will be in online mode. In case of Paper II A and II B the drawing paper will be in offline mode. For the correct answer you will be getting 4 marks and 1 mark will be reduced if the answer is wrong (negative mark). There is no reduction in marks if the question is
JEE exams will be conducted in two phases. The First phase known as JEE mains, and the second Exam is JEE Advanced. Both consist of paper (B.Tech), paper II A(B. Arch) and paper II B(Planning). The JEE Main Examination will be conducted first with two attempts and the qualified students will be getting admission in NITS and III-Ts. To get further admission in IITs, the student has to qualify the IIT Advanced. In overall JEE main is to select the best candidates from the overall plus-2 students and JEE Advanced is to select best among the JEE main cleared candidates.
